Walks & Hikes, Newburyport

Halloween at Maudslay State Park is an eerily creative local event

TOWN:Newburyport
WHAT:Local ghouls and goblins haunt a state park
WHY:A meandering walk with surprises around every corner

What do you call a Newburyport annual event that combines creative costumes, history and local participants of all ages? How about Theater in the Open’s annual Haunted Trails event! A ticket will get you a map and possibly a scare or two, but kids should be fine here – it’s all in good fun.

Half that fun is walking the trails at the Park with autumn leaves paving the path. You’ll encounter truly creative ghouls, goblins and of course good old witches – it’s the North Shore, right?

How to do it

Visit the Theater in the Open website for a schedule and to purchase tickets. You’ll find visiting information, included parking instructions.
