Bike Rides, Beverly, Essex, Manchester By The Sea, Wenham
An easy 15-mile loop through four beautiful North Shore towns
For years this route has been my go to after-work ride – not all that long, but enough to feel like you got out and worked it for an hour. It also happens to be a terrific introduction to the joys of cycling on the North Shore. It is a flat ride that passes marshland, woods, farmland, and slips through four towns, each unique in their own way.
Like most of the loops we share on Off Course, it can be accessed at any point on the loop. Some downtown areas have restricted parking so to lower the risk of overstaying your welcome and getting a ticket, seek out a residential area to park and start your ride. For instance, Beverly Farms or Gordon College are conveniently located off of Route 128.
